Giving and Receiving Feedback Workshop

Formulating performance goals and making agreements is especially important. Even more important is the continuous management of performance and behaviors of employees (executives and non-executives) in the context of the agreements made. This can be done effectively by means of ‘feedback’.

 

In general feedback regards a continuous dialogue with continuous focus on role fulfillment, development of employee’s capacity, goals, results, and continuous improvements. More specifically, feedback concerns a continuous (solicited or unsolicited) conversation whereby the 'receiver' receives information from the 'sender' about his / her behavior (actions) or performance with the intention to improve these and obtain results which benefits both, the organization, and the employee.

 

Giving and receiving feedback is an especially important capability for all employees within organizations more so for the executives. Organizations where the executives master this capability have shown immediate and high impact on their personal effectiveness and proficiency as well as their subordinates within organizations. However, experience shows that giving and receiving effective feedback, is not a given as some have more talent for this than others. Recognizable?
